We didn’t get to meet and talk to many folks from Lesotho, but I did get to photograph a few local kids. I’m not sure I can really tell you much definitively about the culture so instead I’ll show you a few images. The one thing I can say is that these images are truly representative of much of the life we saw throughout the country. I hope to learn more throughout this trip and afterward.
One of the great things about travel is that it actually creates more questions in your mind than it answers. There is so much I would like to know about this country. I can honestly say it’s the most foreign place to me that I’ve ever visited. The lives these folks lead is so dramatically different from mine I can only imagine and guess what it would be like.
It’s cliché to say, but the people are truly friendly to strangers. And a bus full of Americans can be stranger than most. Especially an overeager photographer with too much gear!
